Project Overview
Located at the prestigious 1242 N Lake Shore Drive in Chicago's exclusive Streeterville neighborhood, this comprehensive 3,200-square-foot condominium renovation represents one of our most ambitious transformations to date. Our out-of-state client entrusted us with completely reimagining this lakefront property, which had been occupied by the previous owner for over 25 years.
The property's age showed in every corner - from outdated finishes to inefficient layouts that no longer suited modern luxury living. Our challenge was to transform this dated condo into a contemporary masterpiece worthy of its prime Lake Shore Drive location, all while managing the project remotely for our client who couldn't be present during the renovation.
The kitchen received our most dramatic intervention. We completely gutted the space, demolishing walls to create better flow and removing decades-old wallpaper from the ceilings. The old flooring was torn out and replaced with premium materials. We installed stunning custom cabinets designed specifically for this space, complemented by high-end tiles and luxurious countertops that transformed the kitchen into a modern culinary showcase.
The living areas received equal attention to detail. We installed beautiful new wood flooring throughout the main living spaces, creating warmth and continuity that flows seamlessly from room to room. The transformation extended to all three bathrooms, each receiving a complete remodel with modern fixtures, custom tile work, and spa-like amenities.
Our team installed custom trim work throughout the entire unit, adding architectural interest and elegance to every room. The entire 3,200-square-foot space was professionally painted with a carefully selected color palette that enhances natural light and creates a cohesive, sophisticated atmosphere.
