Project Overview
When our client recently purchased their condo in Chicago's vibrant West Loop area, they had a clear vision for their new kitchen: a modern two-tone color scheme paired with significantly increased storage space. This renovation perfectly demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform a standard condo kitchen into a highly functional and visually striking space.
Understanding the client's desire for both aesthetic appeal and practical storage solutions, our designer developed a comprehensive plan that would maximize every inch of available space. The two-tone cabinet design was carefully selected to create visual interest while maintaining a cohesive, modern look that complements the West Loop's urban sophistication.
One of the key innovations in this project was the incorporation of floating shelves on the walls. These shelves not only provide additional storage but also create an open, airy feel that prevents the kitchen from feeling cramped. The floating design allows for flexible storage of frequently used items while adding a contemporary architectural element to the space.
To further address the storage needs, we improved the cabinet functionality throughout the kitchen. Every cabinet was optimized with smart organizational solutions, ensuring that the kitchen could accommodate all of the client's cookware, dishes, and pantry items while maintaining a clean, uncluttered appearance.
The renovation began with the complete demolition of existing kitchen cabinets, clearing the way for the new design. Following this, we removed all backsplashes and performed extensive drywall work to create smooth, perfect surfaces for the new finishes. This preparation phase was crucial for achieving the flawless results our client desired.
All plumbing and electrical systems were updated throughout the kitchen, ensuring modern functionality and safety standards. This comprehensive infrastructure upgrade provides peace of mind and supports all the modern appliances and features of the new kitchen. Fresh paint in carefully selected colors unified the space and highlighted the two-tone cabinet design.
We handled the complete installation of all new appliances, ensuring proper integration with the cabinetry and optimal placement for workflow efficiency. Custom knobs and handles were selected to add the perfect finishing touch, providing both functionality and a sophisticated design element that ties the entire kitchen together.
