Modern but warm, with one moment of personality
The homeowners on N Sheffield had lived with the original bathroom for years — worn tile, a dated vanity, plumbing that had been patched more than once. They wanted a real renovation, not a coat of paint and a new mirror. We took it down to the studs.
The design brief was simple: modern but warm, with one moment of personality. The answer was the floor — a blue and white cement-look tile in a floral medallion pattern that gives the room a center of gravity without overwhelming it. Everything else was built to support that choice. Custom blue-gray shaker vanity picks up the floor's cooler tone. White quartz counter keeps the top surface bright. Dark gray subway tile in the walk-in shower grounds the space. Matte black hardware ties it together — faucet, shower valve, cabinet pulls, towel bar, door handle, all the same finish.
Fixtures are Kohler throughout. We use Kohler on projects like this because their matte black line is consistent across every product category, and when you're trying to match hardware finishes from six different suppliers, that consistency matters more than any single feature.
