Complete Home Remodeling Project in Flossmoor, IL 60422
We recently completed a full home remodel on Park Drive in Flossmoor, IL 60422. This project involved a complete kitchen renovation, bathroom transformation, new flooring installation, and professional interior painting throughout the home.
The Kitchen Remodel
In this kitchen remodel, we executed a complete gut renovation. We removed a non-load-bearing wall separating the kitchen from the dining space, creating an open layout with better sight lines and natural light. The existing ceiling was removed to create a more spacious feel, and we addressed the dining area ceiling and exposed wood beams with appropriate finishes.
The electrical system throughout the kitchen required complete replacement to meet current code requirements and support modern appliances. We installed new circuits, outlets positioned for optimal functionality, and dedicated lines for major appliances. The plumbing infrastructure also needed attention—we replaced the drainage system to ensure proper water flow and accommodate the new kitchen layout.
For the flooring, we removed the existing surfaces and installed new tile flooring throughout both the kitchen and dining areas. This selection provides durability for high-traffic areas while offering easy maintenance.
Custom Kitchen Cabinets
We provided our client with custom kitchen cabinets tailored for functionality. The cabinet layout includes both base and wall cabinets strategically positioned to maximize storage capacity. Lower cabinets feature deep drawers perfect for storing pots and pans, while upper cabinets provide organized space for dishes and pantry items. We incorporated pull-out organizers, lazy susans in corner cabinets, and other smart storage solutions that make the kitchen significantly more functional.
MSI Countertops and Backsplash
We installed a beautiful MSI backsplash and countertops to enhance the kitchen's appearance. The MSI surfaces provide a durable, low-maintenance work surface that resists staining, scratching, and heat damage. The backsplash installation extends from the countertop to the bottom of the upper cabinets, protecting the walls while adding visual interest. To complete the kitchen remodel, we added custom wallpaper as requested by the client.
The Bathroom Transformation
The existing bathroom needed some attention! We fully gutted this bathroom to remove the dated blue tub, flooring, walls, and ceiling. We completely changed the drainage system and created a beautiful walk-in shower, converting the tub into this modern feature.
Our design included replacing the two vanities with a double sink vanity on one side, while the other wall was utilized for storage space. The client selected a green vanity from Wayfair with a beautiful MSI Calacatta quartz countertop. We installed new flooring throughout, and completed the bathroom remodel with beautiful blue wallpaper.
The Entrance Transformation
We completely removed the floor tile from the entrance door to the kitchen and installed a beautiful black and white Floor and Decor tile to create a modern look. This bold design choice required precise layout planning to ensure the pattern centered properly and maintained consistent geometry throughout the space. Our designer worked closely with the client to achieve this stunning entrance!
Professional Painting
The client wanted a cool green color on some walls, and we accomplished that by professionally removing the beige paint and applying Benjamin Moore paint throughout the entrance. We repaired any wall imperfections, filled nail holes, and ensured perfectly smooth surfaces. The cool green color was applied to accent walls throughout the entrance, creating visual interest and defining different areas within the open floor plan.
