what do you need to provide a quote?
We receive an enormous variety of assembly requests. We endeavor to price each job fairly, based on the time, number of technicians, and skill level required to complete the job. Clients who EMAIL us first with full details or submit a COMPLETE quote request on our website, with enough details for us to look up and identify the EXACT item(s) to be assembled, will receive FIRST PRIORITY. The man-hours required for assembly varies so widely, even within categories (e.g. desk, dresser, etc.), that we have to price your project individually. The information needed includes items such as: links, pictures, copy of your order and for IKEA items, the article # in order to give you a quote and schedule you for service immediately. As we receive a high volume of calls, we cannot transcribe multiple model numbers over the phone.
What geographical area do you cover?
Primarily Chicago and the collar counties, but we have gone to Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin where the job justifies the added travel time. Please call or email us to verify on your specific job.
HOW DO YOU CHARGE FOR THE ASSEMBLY OF FURNITURE?
Our clients have consistently told us that based on our experience, they want us to tell them how much time and money their assembly project will take. We charge an INDIVIDUALIZED FLAT RATE for the whole job. It is based on the specific items and quantities, ease/difficulty of each to assemble, unobstructed work-site conditions and accessibility, and location. As a general rule, we DO NOT provide assembly services at an HOURLY rate. Our MINIMUM CHARGE is $150 for any service. Please note that if parking is not available parking fees may apply.
WHAT METHODs OF PAYMENT do you ACCEPT?
We accept cash, check, and credit cards. The first two are preferred; please note that there will be a 3.6% transaction fee added to all credit card payments. This is simply the fee that our company is charged by Square for every transaction, which we regrettably must pass along.
Once i book your service, what happens?
Basically, you just have to sit back and relax! On the day of our service we will confirm and keep you updated on our arrival time, as well as any possible delays we may be experiencing due to traffic or weather.
DO you PROVIDE SAME DAY SERVICE?
While we provide same day service if our schedule allows, advance notice is always appreciated and helps the job run more smoothly! Same day availability depends on our technicians' schedules, and on whether we can ensure that they are ready to bring their A-game to your project. For example, if all of our staff are already scheduled to work a 9-10 day, and a request comes in for that evening for several pieces, it may not be safe/wise/advisable to have any of them take on that job, for a variety of reasons. We do always strive to provide NEXT DAY service. Always feel free to check with us to see if we are available.
do you ever provide service at night and on weekends?
Yes. We MAY be able to provide assembly services in the evenings and on weekends. See more in the Same Day Service FAQ.
WHAT TYPE OF FURNITURE JOBS DO YOU HANDLE?
We assemble flat pack furniture from the major manufacturing companies such as IKEA, Amazon, Wayfair, Overstock, Sauder, and much more, for your home and office. Items such as: bedroom furniture, living room furniture, office furniture, and patio furniture. As a general rule, we DON'T assemble or install: play sets or toys for kids, gym equipment, bicycles, TV mounting brackets, window curtain rods, baby cribs or used furniture. Also, we DON'T "disassemble furniture". We assemble NEW flat pack furniture only.
